Badminton and padel, each scored its own way

The court, the scoring and the wording follow the sport your club plays. One account works for every club you're in, and each sport keeps its own rating.

Play one game, best of 3 or best of 5. Singles and doubles have separate ratings, and the app rotates players across up to twelve courts.

  • Separate singles and doubles ratings

What else the app does

  • Sessions open to new players

Mark a session as open with a drop-in price and a number of spaces. Players find it on Discover and book a place or join the waiting list, and you can approve each booking if you prefer.

  • Weekly sessions

Set a session to repeat every week. Skip a week or change one date without touching the rest.

  • Americano, Mexicano and more

Besides fair rotation you can play winner stays on, two up two down, balanced teams, Americano and Mexicano. Every format counts towards ratings.

  • Why this game?

Tap any lineup to see why the app picked it, and check who's on next while you wait.

  • Apple Watch

See every court on your wrist and enter scores from the watch. Your own court is marked, and each session can be saved to Apple Health as a workout.

  • Scoring without signal

If the hall has no signal, the iPhone app runs the session on your phone and adds the results to your club once you're connected again.

  • Rankings for your venue, city and country

Play regularly at a venue and you can appear on its public ranking, and on your city's and country's. You can hide yourself at any time.

  • A summary after each session

After a few sessions you can get a short written summary of how you played, with what stood out. It's written by AI, you agree first, and no names are sent.

  • Message the organisers

Players and visitors can message the people who run a club, about the club or about one session.

  • Notifications

Hear about new messages, places on sessions, invitations and your turn to book, in the app and on your iPhone.

  • Court money

Keep a rota of whose turn it is to book, track what drop-in players owe the person who booked, and add a payment link.

  • English, Polish and German

Use the app in English, Polish or German. It follows your phone's language, and you can change it at any time.

How it works

From sign-up to standings

  1. Plan the session

Post the date, time and venue, share it, and see who's coming. Set a number of spaces and a waiting list if courts are limited.

  2. Play it

Start from the list of people coming. The app picks fair games, and whoever runs the session enters scores while everyone else follows on their own phone.

  3. See the results

When the session ends, ratings, the club ranking and the season standings update for everyone.

What is RankedCourt?

An app for running club sessions

RankedCourt is an app for recreational badminton and padel clubs. Organisers post upcoming sessions and see who's coming before they book courts. On the day, they start a live session from that list.

During the session the app decides who plays next. It looks at how many games each person has played, who sat out last and who hasn't partnered whom yet, across up to twelve courts at once. Everyone at the venue sees the same courts and scores on their own phone, and whoever runs the session can change any lineup.

When the session ends, the results update everyone's skill rating, the club ranking and the season standings. Each player has a page with their games, partners, rivals and rating history. In badminton, singles and doubles have separate ratings. Padel is doubles only and is scored in sets.

Clubs can list themselves in the public directory and open sessions to new players, who can then find them and book a place. Clubs that share a venue can get in touch and play a session together, and those games count towards the same ratings.

Running a club on RankedCourt is free, with unlimited sessions and live scoring on up to twelve courts. You can try a full session on your phone without signing up. RankedCourt Plus adds deeper personal stats, and Organiser removes the limit on new players joining through the app.

Common questions

Questions people ask

What does RankedCourt do?

It runs your club's sessions: sign-up before the day, fair rotation of players across courts, live scoring from any phone, and skill ratings and stats afterwards. It works for badminton and padel.

How does the app decide who plays next?

By default it looks at games played, who has sat out and who has partnered whom, so everyone gets a similar number of games and a mix of partners. Results don't affect who plays. You can pick other formats, like winner stays on or Americano, and you can always move players yourself.

How do skill ratings work?

Everyone starts at 1500. When a session ends, each player's rating goes up for a win and down for a loss. Beating a stronger side moves you more than beating a weaker one, and the score margin doesn't count. In badminton, singles and doubles have separate ratings.

Who can enter scores?

Club admins, moderators and anyone made a session manager. Everyone else in the club follows the courts and scores live on their own phone.

Does it work on phones at the venue?

Yes. It works in any phone browser and in the iPhone app. If the hall has no signal, the iPhone app can run the session on your phone and add the results to your club once you're connected again.

Is there an Apple Watch app?

Yes. The watch shows every court, lets the person running the session enter scores from it, and marks your own court. Sessions can be saved to Apple Health as workouts.

How is badminton different from padel in the app?

Badminton games go to 11, 15 or 21 points, in singles or doubles, as one game or best of 3 or 5. Padel is doubles only and scored in sets to 6 or 4 games: one set, best of 3 (with a super tiebreak if you like) or best of 5. Americano and Mexicano rounds work the same in both.

Can new players find our club?

If you list your club, it appears on Discover in the app and in the public directory on this website, which search engines can show. You can open sessions to new players with a drop-in price and a number of spaces, and choose whether they book straight away or you approve each one.

How much does it cost?

Running a club is free: unlimited sessions, players added by name or invite link, and live scoring on up to 12 courts. Up to 3 new players a month can join or book through the app for free, and Organiser removes that limit. RankedCourt Plus is a personal subscription for deeper stats.

Do my players need accounts?

No. You can add players by name and run sessions straight away. Players who make an account later can link it to their name and follow their own stats.
